Founded in 2006, Garden State Equality is New Jersey’s largest LGBTQ advocacy and education organization. Since its founding, Garden State Equality is responsible for several landmark civil rights laws protecting LGBTQ New Jerseyans including the nation’s strongest anti-bullying law and the first-in-the-nation interdisciplinary LGBTQ-inclusive curriculum law.
As a native New Jerseyan, I have been involved with Garden State Equality since 2009, when I began volunteering to help pass marriage equality legislation. Over the years, I have worked with and supported the organization in various capacities. Most recently, I served as the Director of Communications & Membership, where I was responsible for strategic communications, digital program, media relations, and membership engagement.
Included below is a small sampling of my recent work at Garden State Equality, including an exciting new website design. The updated website was visually redesigned from top-to-bottom to reflect the institutional strength of the organization’s brand. Additionally, the content structure was retooled to help emphasize the organization’s newfound focus on community programs and providing cultural competency trainings to schools, hospitals, businesses, and more.
If you'd like to know more about how I can help your campaign or organization achieve its digital and communications goals, send me a brief message, and I will get back to you as soon as possible.
